I ♥ Fireworks

There's a lot of things I love in life. I love December, I love being happy, I love my dogs, I love green, I love flyovers, I love Beetle, I love beaches, I love Bonong ;p, I love love, I love sky, I love rains, I love misup and I definitely love fireworks as well.

We had some fireworks moment last weekend in kampung, thanks to FeeZing & family. =D

I never knew before how hard it is to get a decent shot of fireworks (because I don't get to see fireworks often). Timing is everything and sometimes even continuous shots won't do the trick. haih..

Americanized

Was talking with my darling cousins Jaime, 6 and Joy, 4 last Sunday.

Scene 1- Joy playfully kicked Jaime's knee
ChaCha : Does that hurt?
Jaime : A bit. You know, this is the hardest bone in our body. (pointing the patella/knee cap)
ChaCha : O.o

Scene 2- Showing them eggs-laying chicken
ChaCha : Have you ever seen a chicken before? (stupid question, I know)
Joy : Yes. At Hailey's (probably their friend). You know, there's a lot of chicken in America.
ChaCha : o.O

Scene 3- Catching kittens with them
Joy : Jaime is allergic to cat. He needs his *medicine's name*.
ChaCha : What's that?
Joy : A kind of medicine to help him stop sneezing, but apparently we can't find it here.
ChaCha : O.o

Scene 4- Coconuts in the balcony
ChaCha : Who picked the coconut outside?
Jaime : ME!! And Joy.
ChaCha : So are you going to drink it later?
Jaime : No, we just love the fun of picking it.
ChaCha : o.O

Scene 5- Girl talk
Joy : Oh, you have your toenails painted too. (pointing at my pink toenails)
ChaCha : Yeah. But I love your color, sparkly purple. (pointing at hers)
Joy : I like yours more.
ChaCha : O.o

Talking to them felt like talking to adults, in a fun way though. (^.^) I bet they miss the cool weather, they opened the freezer and spend some moments cooling themselves. (yep, we don't have AC in kampung) Sabah is at the warmest temperature when they got back, extreme opposite with the winter they just had in the States. I hope they don't have a hard time adjusting themselves with the climate. It's been more than 1 months since they got back, and Uncle No 2 doesn't seem to have problem driving on the right hand-side anymore.
Having them here is so exciting. Auntie Eve suggested that me and Joy should shop together some time, we have a lot in common..haha..4-year old Jojoy with my shopping attitude?I wonder how's she's gonna be at my age later. lol

We only got to spend less than an hour with them last Sunday, can't wait to see them soon. Probably on CNY, grandparents are expecting the whole clan to help out with the harvesting. T___T
Uh, can I stay at home and cook instead?? tsk..

By the way, here's a random picture of Uncle No 1 that I absolutely adore. They have a really good camera back then, my guess, more than 20 years ago. I had it retouched, very minor touches using Ps. The color is not far from the original, however the sharpness lessen..hmm..

To call them as my family is a genuine blessing!

This Too Shall Pass

That is the title of one of the song featured in Reunion Concert 2004-The Promise. I YouTube-d it but couldn't find Jesse Martin's version. I found Yolanda Adams' version though. The lyrics hit me so well--it counteract everything on my mind.

My undergrad-chaos moment shall pass.
My tears shall pass.
My moment of gloom..moment of sh*tload shall pass.
My depression (which I don't have, anyway) shall pass.
I can smile and laugh again.

A very promising reminder..humbling and full of hope.

However, it does not apply for bad things only.

At this moment, life's good and comfortable. I flaunt my smile all the time, especially when I'm alone (sicko).
My wallet is fat, bank account balance even fatter.
I don't mind weekend dine-out with siblings at UPPERSTAR and the bill is on me.
I don't mind 3-figured worth of jeans..or any kind of outfits.
I don't mind paying extra of everything.
I don't mind buying stuffs I don't need.
Studies had been real good too--one MidTerm exam done and I think I did alright.
Assignments and due dates are filling in perfectly on my oh-so-empty schedule.
I have sufficient interactions between girlfriends, boy-friends and boyfriend.
I spend healthy amount of time with loved ones.
I find perfect balance of drama and emotions.
Laid-back, not in a hurry but still on the race.

Life's good..real good.

Too bad, this too shall pass.

Soon enough, undergrad chaos will catch up with me and even watching Glee episode 1-8 (and counting) won't excite me anymore. So, before this UPs turn to DOWNs, I'm gonna cherish every single second of it.
I believe in karma, I believe in Yin&Yang, I believe in the balance of nature (AVATAR rawks!!!) and as one of my favorite-est biblical line says "There's a time for everything". Go read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (for the n-th time), I'm on my way to memorize it!

My mood had been REAL good, I Cinderella-ed myself and made sure the floor are lickable. Current sickness--keeping the floor shiny.*sigh* Housesisters' dilemma.
