Too Comfortable

Here I am again, counting my blessings that God gave me without me asking for it.

I was paid much more than what I expected (the invisible blessings in tithing, I believe hihi) for the teaching job I've done. Thanks Mr L! So, I got my Mastercard (the D, not the C) and here's what I got for the first swipe.
Yea, I tried hard to include that Mastercard logo.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 25.
Initially, I had Mini 7s in mind, but I end up buying Mini 25. Slight difference in function and features, nothing comparatively significant in the quality of pic, but there is a hundred eighty ringgit difference in price. Yet I paid that extra ringgits, just because baby bro managed to convince me.!@#@$%!^ I'm happy with Mini 25 nonetheless, it's cuter and it's classic WHITE! I saw a Hello Kitty version of it online and indeed it really looked like a girlish toy, a toy 6-year old Jojoy would play with. heeee...And it's cheaper when bought online too. Hmmm.
I'm gonna have lots of fun with this new toy even tho the Polaroid film is mahal gila. Selca pic will be limited, since there is a risk it will get wasted. It's not digital where you can take 500 snaps, pick only one or two, then delete the rest.

Hmm. I think it's wrong to be this comfortable. Comfortable with buying instant camera that I don't actually need. Comfortable with my frequent night out with the girls. Comfortable with spending money on over-sized sunglasses. Comfortable with online shopping deals on Momiji (I'm on one now). Comfortable doing nothing at home. Should I call this over-indulgence on nothing-ness? Or is this what they call living your life to the fullest?heh.

Whatever it is, I like it. Eventually I have to work a 8-5 job, and I would wish I could go back to this lazy life once more. So, I guess I'll just cherish this moment.

Happy Weekend. Happy Sabbath. Happy Fasting to those who fast. Off to enjoy the gorgeous sunset at the back of this house. :)

Ottoke

So many wants needs, so little ka-ching.

WANTS.

Because I want a prettier smile.

Because my current sunglasses costed PHP100, so you can tell how non-functional it is.

Because I need something to commemorate my FIRST salary ever..any doll from Momiji's Book Club (by Luli Bunny) to remind me how I finally utilized Maths to earn money.

Because my big bro (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU KLIPOD!!) once asked, what's my purpose in life? And introduced this book.
Here's an excerpt.

The purpose of your life is far greater than
your own personal fulfillment, your peace of
mind, or even your happiness. It’s far greater
than your family, your career, or even your
wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to
know why you were placed on this planet, you
must begin with God. You were born by his
purpose and for his purpose.

A handbag.
And perhaps, a watch. Do I need to have reason?

Because I wanted it for so long.

Because I want to take better pictures?

Because I wanted to accessorize my PEN. (leather strap look so good!)

Because I suffer chronic wanderlust.

Because Maxis HTC ChaCha is offering a very lucrative deal with RM499 (I am too late for the RM299 plan), 24-months contract RM48/month. That's RM600 less than the retail price I almost fell for. Pheww.. Salsa looked nice too.

Just because.
Wants from two or three years ago. Suddenly I feel the urging need to have one.

Priority-wise speaking, then none of the above would qualify as the number one thing I need now. Coz here's what I reaaaally need atm.

Oh yeah. That's Danica Sue Patrick. The first woman to win an Indy car race, and now she's racing in NASCAR. I would call her the best female driver in the world, and I am always inspired by her.

We share the same last name, and an almost similar second name. But boy, what a heaven-and-earth difference in driving ability. Not even worth mentioning. Well, the least I can do is get a driving license, no?

Now that's a liability-driven investment. A few years late compared to my peers, but who cares. I'll reach MY milestone in MY own pace. :)

Speaking of investment, I got the fifth or sixth call  from jobstreet regarding an analyst job (AMLA) but I was skeptical since the turnover rate is really high in this kind of job even though the pay is so bloody delicious! I think I can get all of the 'wants' above in just one or two months of working. *sigh*
Should I be picky in this case? Plus, it's across the South China Sea :(

I am quite disappointed that I failed my new year's resolution, I am still very much attached to materials and continue spending money to make me feel good. huh. Ottoke?

A Long Summary

I don't know why I felt like I need to apologize for not updating this blog for three weeks (only). The hits kept coming and some even googled on me, thank you very much. If someday I decided to monetize this blog, then I owe you people. :) Blogging in some way or another is telling others that you have an awesome life. So, here's my awesome days I've spent during the past few weeks.

1. Sayonara kids.

Had to bid farewell to the teaching life I've been living for almost three months.I enjoyed the experience so much, I learnt a lot, hopefully I succeeded educating those kids and I definitely have a new-found respect for teachers.

Was their homeroom teacher :) Now I miss them. :(

2. Shanty is married.

Yep. One of our sister is married! Wishing Fennedy & Shanty a blissful married life ahead. No groom in the picture tho', only the siblings.

3. Shoppings & Weddings with Elbv (malas taip..hihi).

Ah. There is no greater joy than spending your hard-earned money buying things that you don't really need but strangely, makes you happy. Seriously.

Or maybe there IS a greater joy...free foods!  Sharkfin's, I mean eight-course meal dinner? XD

Thanks for the Jap foods treat, I memang dah lama x makan..hihi..and for the opportunity to meet Oyo after all this while. :))))

(Mengapaka kita teda bergambar pada dinner itu yah Elbven???)

4. Singing

The group sang again. Same song, with new members :) I'll upload the videos laaater. Coz there was no pic. hihi

5. Orang Utans and Buayas at SandakanG.

Yeayy. Was there once when I was 10-11 but there's little I can remember. Now, at 23++ I AM BACK to Sandakan! Had a slice of pizza before taking off at 4am, then slept. Woke up somewhere in Bundu Tuhan, had some hard-boiled eggs then fell asleep again. Then another stop at Telupid, had homemade sandwich courtesy of Cigu Jorin (because Angkol kac abis all the pau ayam at the kadai..%$#@%#), then fell asleep again. The next thing I see was kelapa sawit and tadaa, we're there. So, I guess the journey was bearable after all, especially when my seat-mate, Kobob was loaded with snacks XD

Since we were traveling in large number, we had no choice but to do the typical touristy thing. Sepilok, Crocodile Farm and town tours! Hmmm..wished we could go more places, given the long hours of driving there..but never mind, Sandakan won't go anywhere!

Going back, I was so into DON the Bollywood movie that I didn't even bother shopping for salak. In the end,   I was like cursing at that stu*id ending! 3-disc and that's the ending?!! Shahrukh is undoubtedly one of the finest actor tho. huh.

Lots of pirau, sleeping, toilet breaks and we're home again. At 2am. Next trip: Tawau!

6. Secret Recipe

Hadn't met Fadz & Claud since the convocation last year and it feels so good meeting up with them yesterday. Tho planned at last minute, still it was a great meet-up for the three of us. Hopefully next time, we can plan it properly and gather with some more Maths buddies.

Fadz is now an officer at that school we dreaded so much while studying, and wow, it has been a year since our studying days in UMS. I definitely miss those days and we had so much to talk about that studying days, but we're moving on, and growing up.

Thanks for the Snickers Fadz, you know me too well..hihi.. And for the dinner treats. Wished the three of us could talk a bit longer, with all the updates, gossips and sharing. And Claud, I really missed YOU! Can't wait for the next session :)

So, that's my awesome goody good days. Now I am back to my lazy life, huh. Maybe I am destined to stay at home, raise kids and perhaps raise some cows too. :)

What's next?
