Anxious

I can't sleep due to obvious reason. I'm too anxious. The last time I felt this way was the night before my convocation, and on that night, I thought, the next time I'm going to be this anxious gotta be either a night before my engagement/wedding/whatever. Guess I'm wrong. I am super anxious at this point!

So, to ease my anxiousness I browsed through travel quotes. Antoine de Saint-Exupery said that he who would travel happily must travel light. Agreed, backpack is an amazing invention aye? It is 70% full now, and thankfully doesn't feel heavy at all (if compared to those trolley baggage). But I think this Saint-Exupery guy does not refer to traveling light when coming home. I definitely would feel happier if I come home with HEAVIER stuffs. ^___^

I read yesterday's news and I am aware that an earthquake occurred exactly at our expected destination. Quite concerned about it but Lao Tzu said that a good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving. As much as I appreciate systematic, well coordinated plans, I have no objections on last minute changes. Spontaneity is fun! :) Just make sure it's within my thrifty budget.

St. Augustine said that the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. This is my favorite quote coz it made me realize how few are the pages I've read so far. Reality speaking, I could not afford to read the whole book at this point but it's a dream! Yayy for the first few pages in my travel story.

“To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.” – Bill Bryson
I am so hopeful Mr Bryson! I don't expect luxury all the way during this trip but I'm hoping for new lessons. Especially in handling those pesos-this gotta be my biggest concern. Would it be enough? *panic*

That Amber Morley quote at the top reflects the dream I'm working on. Every word of it. He reminds me not to find a Filipino boyfriend and to come home safe. :) Sure do. I told him I will be too busy with shopping that I don't have time to ogle on boys there. Except if there's a miracle from heaven that Jericho Rosales is around. lol-ness! I'll bring pasalubong for you! :))

It's 2.40 a.m. You really can tell how excited I am when I am still awake at this hour. Gah!
